As a wedding photographer + wedding planner team, my wife Kimmi (@Dragonfly_Exp), and I, often find that our connections with couples build through the planning phase, but deepen even further after the wedding day. With Jessica and Billy, it felt as though we had always been close friends. Weddings grant us, Kimmi and I, a unique opportunity to share in some truly special moments with our couples.
The love that Jess and Billy share isn’t flashy, but it’s genuine and, above all, complete. It’s beautifully evident in the wonderful relationships they have with their extensive family and numerous friends.
Their wedding wasn’t confined to a single day; it spanned an entire weekend. It began with an unforgettable welcome celebration for all their guests on the day before the wedding. This prelude featured a live band, delectable food, refreshing drinks, and a breathtaking sunset. In fact, it could have rivaled some couples’ actual wedding days. However, this serves as a simple testament to the love and gratitude they have for one another, as well as for the important people who have played significant roles in their lives.
Their wedding day was also nothing short of spectacular. Even the skies seemed to hold back the rain; blessing us with the most exquisite, softly diffused lighting, a beautiful rainbow, that when all combined provided a beautiful backdrop at Half Moon, which allowed us to capture the true beauty of the love they shared.
