Spoiler Alert: The Happiest Rainy Day Wedding Ever!
Bianca and Allan’s love story is one for the books—equal parts romance, persistence, and fate. Like many great love stories, theirs began with a chance meeting through mutual friends. Fate paired them up at another wedding (nice move, Cupid!), where Allan’s persistence eventually wore down Bianca’s resistance; and when she finally gave him a shot, he didn’t just take it—he ran with it, straight to forever.
Their wedding day started like a dream: sunshine, blue skies, and all the tropical vibes you’d hope for. With the weather being, well, unpredictable lately, we opted to get some early shots during their First Look (which, let me just say, always do the First Look—it’s pure magic!).
But Mother Nature had her own plans. Enter: the rain. And not the romantic, sprinkle-on-your-face kind. This was relentless, unyielding, torrential rain—the kind that makes you double-check your shoes and question your life choices.
Kimmi (@dragonfly_exp) and I are no strangers to rainy-day weddings. Usually, it rains, stops, and leaves everything lush and Instagram-ready just in time for the ceremony. But not on this day. Nope. The rain wasn’t letting up, not even for Bianca and Allan.
The ceremony setup was stunning—200 chairs perfectly lined up, rehearsed walks were perfected the day before—but after waiting (and hoping, and waiting some more), the rain didn’t budge. Meanwhile, Bianca and Allan were cozied up in the car, soaking in the moment and being the calmest couple ever. #couplegoals!
Eventually, the call was made to move the ceremony to the covered reception space. The ground was squishy, shoes were muddy, and guests were damp, but you know what? No one cared. The energy was electric. The love was palpable. No rain could dim this day.
Bianca’s proud father, Mr. Nam, walked her down the aisle to Allan, who gently took her hand and leaned in forehead-to-forehead, seemingly reassuring her that everything was perfect—rain or shine. They exchanged heartfelt vows and sealed it all with a kiss, the sound of raindrops mingling with applause.
And the rain? It didn’t let up. But neither did the joy. Bianca and Allan didn’t just embrace the rain—they danced in it. Shoes abandoned, drenched but beaming, they celebrated like the stars of their very own fairytale.
Watching their day unfold—even under the relentless rain—reminded Kimmi and I, why we love what we do.
