“Love is meant to be an adventure.”
So, how about a little Jeopardy Trivia? Ok, here goes….
Category: “Weddings for 2000, Bob”.. Answer: A silent self-uniting ceremony, where the couple marries themselves. Question: What is a Quaker Wedding? Correct!
You’ve probably never heard of a Quaker Ceremony/Wedding, however, the tradition has been around from the 17th Century. Quaker weddings are a special type of ritual for which no officiant is needed to marry the two parties. The specially invited guests are seated in a circle for silent worship. When ready, out of the silence, the couple will exchange their vows, declaring their intentions before God and those gathered. Entering in a lifelong partnership of commitment, faithfulness and love.
Amanda and Jon are part of a family with a long tradition of Quakers. Needless to say, we were excited to experience our first Quaker Wedding in Jamaica, with this amazing couple.
Check out their wedding day below. Don’t forget to Share the Love.
Congrats again – Amanda + Jon – Welcome to the TeamDWP Family.
