A Love Story That Weathered the Storm | Emily & Logan’s Chatham Bars Inn Wedding
Some love stories don’t unfold exactly as planned, but somehow, they end up even more beautiful.
Emily and Logan originally envisioned exchanging vows at the Half Moon Resort in Jamaica in early 2026. But after Hurricane Melissa swept through the island in late 2025, leaving many beloved destinations recovering. They were faced with an unexpected decision that their dream wedding would need a new home.
Fortunately, Cape Cod had always held a special place in their hearts. For years they had spent summers there with family and friends, creating memories along its beautiful coastline. Choosing Chatham Bars Inn wasn’t simply finding another venue, it was returning to a place that already felt like home, making it the perfect setting to begin their next chapter together.
Kimmi and I will always be grateful for the trust Emily and Logan placed in us. Reimagining an international wedding from the ground up wasn’t a small task. In March, we flew to Boston to begin the process all over again. We toured venues, met with vendors, attended tastings, and walked properties, while Cape Cod was still waking up from winter. The trees were bare, the gardens hadn’t yet bloomed, and the landscape looked nothing like the picturesque postcards we’d always seen.
Everyone assured us, “Just wait until summer.”
They were right!
When we returned in July, Cape Cod had transformed into everything we’d imagined and more. Vibrant blue hydrangeas lined the roads, lush green lawns stretched toward the sea, sailboats dotted the harbor, and the cool ocean breeze made a perfect summer day feel effortless. The energy throughout Chatham was contagious, with visitors filling the streets and waterfront, embracing one of New England’s most beautiful seasons.
The celebrations began on Thursday evening with a welcome gathering at Pelham House Resort. Dressed in crisp white, family and friends laughed, reconnected, and toasted the weekend ahead. It was relaxed, elegant, and the perfect way to welcome their loved ones who had traveled to celebrate Emily and Logan.
Then came Friday.
The day couldn’t have been more perfect. Sunny skies, a gentle ocean breeze, and temperatures in the mid-70s created the quintessential Cape Cod summer day everyone had promised us months before.
Before guests gathered for the ceremony, Emily and Logan shared a quiet first look tucked away on the beautiful grounds of Chatham Bars Inn. It was one of those moments that reminds us why we love what we do. As Logan turned around and saw his bride for the very first time, emotions completely took over. Tears filled his eyes as he took in the sight of Emily, and for a few precious moments, it felt like the rest of the world disappeared.
With the excitement of the day still ahead, we spent time exploring the stunning property together, capturing portraits that reflected their love, and the genuine joy these two share.
Nearly 200 family members and friends gathered on the Boat House Lawn overlooking the Atlantic. Arm in arm with her father, Emily made her way down the aisle toward Logan, whose smile said everything words could not. Surrounded by the people who mean the most to them, Emily and Logan exchanged the heartfelt vows they had written for one another, filling the ceremony with laughter, happy tears, and unforgettable emotion.
The celebration that followed was everything they had dreamed of. A phenomenal live band kept the dance floor packed from the very first song, while laughter echoed throughout the evening and late-night bites kept the party going well into the night. It was the kind of celebration where no one wanted the evening to end, a joyful reflection of the incredible love that brought everyone together.
Emily and Logan, thank you for allowing us to walk this incredible journey with you. It was an honor to witness your resilience, celebrate your love, and capture the beginning of your forever in one of the most beautiful places New England has to offer.
